      really.

wow that's too bad. yes he was a jerkface, but he was a damn entertaining jerkface yikes

      it already sucks without Paula.

they better have some outrageously talented contestants to make up for it...

Hey, I happen to like Simon. I know he's rude and everything, but he's really smart and I have yet to disagree with him on anything he's said on the show.

I'll miss his reviews - I nearly always agree with him, but as a person he's not my cup of Java!

The guy is a money machine. He's got to be a multi millionaire by now!
Personally, I think he's no better than worse than other critics, but he has the reputation now. Good luck to him. I couldn't do his job. I'd tell everyone they were good even when they were red rotten just because I don't like the thought of hurting someone's feelings - oh except when I was a karaoke compere - I used to tell folk they were the worst I'd ever heard etc but they thought I was joking! lol

Aww, Simon was always my favorite, although I stopped watching after Kelly Clarkson beat Justin Guarini. He is the one who makes the show entertaining, in my opinion.

Is he really leaving? That could be a great tragedy, I think that he is part of what makes the show worth watching.

the rumor is that Simon will be starting his own American version of his Xfactor show, and he will be recruiting Paula. i think American Idol will be dead after that.

      Cosette:
I have to agree. I loved "nasty" Cowell and "sweet" Paula.
      They made the show "work."
