Does anyone else think Amy Winehouse is fantastic?

    I love this woman!  Her music reminds me of great late 60's to early 70's R&B.  It's whisky drenched, floor rattling post-modern Motown.  I'd listen to this lady any day over the other vanilla, over-produced "talents" out there, like Britney Spears, K.T. Tunstall, Ashlee Simpson, etc.
    Sure, Amy has lots of problems in her life, but it seems like she's trying to get her life together.  Here's hoping she'll be rocking that beehive for lots of years to come!

    Amy Winehouse may have a great voice, but she's also an obvious junkie.

    She may be talented, but I don't believe she deserves fame until she gets her life together.  She is hardly a role model.  Like it or not, a part of fame is being a role model.

      DESERVE FAME???    LOLOLOLOL!!!!!   LOLOLOLOL!!!!   LOLOLOLOL!!!
      ~~~what a bunch of heavy-handed crap.   Clueless finger-pointing from unfamous people. Nobody answers to this media obsessed culture of ours anymore.  They all think we are rediculous which we are.
      THIS IDEA OF DICTATING HOW FAMOUS PEOPLE SHOULD BEHAVE IS SO STUPID & IT'S EXACTLY WHY THEY RUN IN AND OUT OF REHAB EVERYDAY!
      Who made them famous?   D'ya think of that?
      The irony of her singing about and also probably desperately needing Rehab is why it was honored with all those Grammys.  Art imitates Life and reflects Truth.  Got it?
      Sorry to those of you who didn't need to hear that but it sure had to be said.
      Amy Winehouse is so so talented.  Her behviour shouldn't even be part of the conversation.
      I have a recording of her doing a reggae version of Sam Cooke's 'Cupid' that will break your heart and I have her doing a cover of "Will You still Love Me Tomorrow?" Same thing. Amazing.
    She has an amazing voice, but sadly she isn't going to last long if she doesn't get herself together.
    If drug addiction is the criterion for good music, one would have to throw out half of the great jazz ever played.  Yes it is sad, and I don't romanticize drugs.  She is a mess.  But that album with Rehab on it is really good.
    Artists with drug problems usually make the best music, or artwork or entertainment. It's the sad truth. The worse part is, they don't penalized for it like your average joe would.
    I like her music, but i will not buy her music and support her drug habit smile
    I try not to judge people who are ill. I don't expect musicians to be my role models. If we judged all artists on how they live their lives we wouldn't celebrate any of them.
    She's a rare talent. One of the best around. And quite probably more in control than you might think.
    I like her song Rehab, but if she continues the way she is going it is going to be very bad.
    I think the drugs are taking away her talent. I don't think she is as talent as people are making her out to be. I have her CD and it was all just about drugs, addiction, depression,obsession and sex. Very one dimensional.
    I agree about the songs, but they aren't her strength.  IT'S THAT VOICE.
