Mine has to be Father and son by Cat Stevens.
Heard it in my early twenties and it just made sense.
can't take my eyes off of you
it's the only song my animals respond to.
i get of a glimpse of their humanity when they love to dance to this song.
there are too many for me to count. every song I like has a significant meaning to me in one way or another - i cant pick just one.
I have two
She talks to Angels Black Crowes written for me I often think.
Led Zeppelin, In The Light: "Did you ever believe that I could leave you, standing out in the cold? Oh, babe, I know how it feels 'cause I have slipped through to the very depths of my soul...Though the winds of change may blow around you, but that will always be so. Oh, whoa-whoa, when love is pain it can devour you, but you are never alone. I would share your load."
It's actually the first song I ever remember hearing--my dad used to play it when I was just a little three year old.
Second choice-- Traffic, Dear Mr. Fantasy: "You are the one who can make us all laugh, but doing that, you break out in tears. Please don't be sad, if it was a straight mind you had, we wouldn't have know you all these years."
Awesome question, by the way!
There are so many songs that have special meaning to me it's hard to narrow it down just to one, but I guess
"I Can See Clearly Now" by Johnny Nash
is very significant to me.
Probably no one has every heard of it, but "December Snow" by the Moody Blues. It is a song about sadness and loss. It is actually about lost love, but I had it played at my brother's funeral and it has had extra meaning since.
I think "Running on Empty" by Jackson Browne. I still love the song although it's not as personal to me as it once was.

What is your favorite Christmas song? Have you heard it this Christmas? I love Christmas and once I hear "Feliz Navida," by Jose Feliciano, I am all set into the Christmas mode. I love that song.
