It looks like Trumps 10th season of the Celebrity Apprentice is sure to be a ratings winner-even though most of the "celebrities" are losers and has-beens trying to jump-start a dead career.

Celebrity Apprentice 2011 cast this season:

    For the Men:
    Gary Busey
    John Rich
    David Cassidy
    Richard Hatch
    Mark McGrath
    Jose Conseco
    Lil Jon
    Meat Loaf

    For the Ladies:
    Diane Warwick
    Marlee Matlin
    Hope Dworaczyk
    Star Jones
    Lisa Rinna
    NeNe Leakes
    Niki Taylor
    Latoya Jackson

it's clear to me that he's all about ratings and not quality.
How can you take this seriously,or should we laugh at them as Trump laughs all the way to the bank?

I know I will be watching in great anticipation.  May not be the best group but there are so many of group who are train-wrecks that will make things interesting.

On the other hand it's fun to watch A and B list celebrities make fools of themselves and I've watched the "regular" version of Apprentice so many times that I can't watch it anymore.

Well, I think The Donald is quite charitable!
I can't think of any other place where such an "ecclectic" group could get this amount (read: any!) visibility.
Someone in that group will surprise us and reignite their career.
On the other hand, I can't picture Trump tapping any of them as his Veep candidate lol!!!

So which party is he going to join to run with?

  8. Mighty Mom profile image76

Even though his name is The "D"onald, I don't picture a "D" beside Mr. Trump's name. Ever. lol
Nor do I picture him seriously running as GOP.
Or as a third party candidate, either (which would only serve to siphon votes from whoever gets the GOP nod).

Then again, with his experience with celebrities like Starr Jones and Gary Busey, he'd have no problem whatsoever dealing with Congress lol

Maybe Gary could be his VP.  That would scare the hell out of any foreign leader he met with. smile
Just imagine Gary and Ghaddafi getting together!smile

I'm pretty sure the only people seriously supporting his campaign are Democrats who are hoping the GOP primaries turn into a complete farce.

I think they are pretty much assured of being a complete farce.
Somehow, I don't expect 2010's "mandate from the people" will replicate itself in 2012...

It can't.  Once they won they got in and were on television and said basically "we don't give a damn that unemployment is running out or the working poor are suffering. Until you assure us the wealthy keep their tax cuts we aren't doing a damn thing".  "For the people" was the BS the idiot Teabaggers fell for.  I think we now know it was all bull just to get there and then do what they wanted.  Or perhaps the idiots they managed to get to vote them in didn't realize that when Reps say "for the people" they mean the "wealthy people" - not them.

    Ha ha! Great idea!!
Gary could definitely meet Ghaddafi head to head! Maybe he should be Secretary of State rather than Veep?
Or maybe Charlie Sheen in that role?
Heck, Trump's got his cabinet right there on his show!
I'm liking this Trump candidacy more and more!

Yeah, probably have more credibility than what we have now.  At least the ones on the show admit to being there for the money and exposure.
Put Charlie in charge of Health and Human Services, that way free drugs for everyone!
Trump as president, hmmm...he wouldn't grease the palms of his rich buddies, would he? smile
LMC would have a stroke if Trump was elected! smile

    Mighty Momposted 14 years ago

    Brilliant!
Charlie Sheen would be ideal in that position. Health and Human Services covers reproductive health issues (e.g., women's private parts) as well, right? lol

I double checked that Trump was born in the US -- Queens, NY 1946. Attended military academy, Fordham and Wharton School of Finance. Not too shabby at all!
Interesting that in 1990 his fortune crumbled but he built it back up. That's impressive.
Not sure how much his divorce from Ivana, having a child with Marla Maples prior to their wedding (Huckabee will have a field day with that) or being married 3X might hurt him.

My biggest concern about Trump for president is ....
the hair piece. Yes, I am that shallow and petty!!! I mean, c'mon. You're worth billions and you can't even get a decent rug??? lol

Guess he's just saying that he doesn't care what the rest of us think about it.  If I had that much money, I probably wouldn't either.  Come to think of it, even with the little money I have, I don't care too much about what people think of my hair.  Except for the cute single girls that is!smile

Except that he obviously cares enough to glue the darn thing on his head. If he really didn't care about his balding head he'd just shave it or cut it short like most men his age.

The media would love for Trump to make a serious run for president. The fact is this: politics doesn't grab the attention of viewers/readers. They need side-stories to make people interested. That's why Sarah Palin became a bigger celebrity than any losing vice presidential candidate in history. She was an entertaining story. Her educational background was spotty. Her position on things like sex education clashed with the reality of her pregnant un-wed teenage daughter. The media loves a circus, and move over Sarah Palin because Trump is the ultimate ringmaster.

Ah, but Trump has more credibility in his pinky fingernail than Palin will ever have. Look at all he's accomplished in his business life!
He's also smart enough to know how to control his media image. If he were to declare for office, the media would have a feeding frenzy, finding s^%t about him that he's thusfar been able to keep private. Does he want or need that? I doubt it.
Besides, who would take over Celebrity Apprentice? Heidi Klum lol???
