I got a chance to watch her in concert on TV...she's fantastic!
She's a talented concert pianist and is a
"free spirit." ( and has a pretty good bod!)
There were 24000 in the crowd!
She rose from the streets of her beloved NY city to being one of the most popular females on earth.
I was hesitant to watch her because I had a preconceived idea that she was just another flash-in-the-pan entertainer.
I've changed my mind.
You?
Lots of talent and musical ability. She deserves to be noticed, and has the confidence to ensure that she is.
A great American dream come true.
Totally in the same place Qwark - saw her live on Radio 1's Big Weekend a few weeks ago and was totally blown away. She seems to make a lot more sense as a live performer. The Good Morning America performance was good, but try watching the HBO special of the Monster Ball - she ROCKS!
Here's a link to it: http://thatgrapejuice.net/2011/05/watch … l-special/
She must have some talent, she is now listed as richer than Oprah.
richer than O?
At first I didn't know what to think of her, but now I like her music a lot. I loved her performance of Born This Way at the GRAMMY's.
Heya Qwark, how ya doin'?
Although I didn't like her at first, now I really like Lady Gaga - for the message she sends to the world. Very similar to the TV show "GLEE". Self-Love, Self-Acceptance. Would have appreciated that message when I was growing up.
Hi RAf:
Yep!
I was pleasantly surprised and really enjoyed her show and message.
She's a deserving "Artist."
I'm doin'fine Raf. Thanks for asking.
I hope life is being good to you 2 :
Qwark
Life's been pretty good to me lately, no personal complaints.
Sometimes I don't really like Gaga's skimpy costumes...then I realize I'm getting OLD!!
...touchy, touchy! lol
When she was on her way up, slipping into clubs and bistros, she and her g/f would dance in bikinis just to shake-up the stodgy.
She incorporated that into her act, like Madonna would do, just for the shock value.
Doesn't bother me. Her "raw" talent overrides the semi-nudity.
Besides, I'm a "gettin'" to be an old man who appreciates a fine semi-naked, female, derriere! :
Wink, wink...:
Qwark
I do hate to admit it, but I honestly can't deny it!
Thanks to Madonna, I'm not shocked by what I see. I only get tired of it - must be the female in me.
Hey Raf:
Think of it this way and be appreciative, you are still young enuf to be able to complain...:
...and me, not being old enuf to ignore and not appreciate a "fine, female, derriere, know that that little spark of life in me is still glowing brightly! :
Ain't life grand? :
Qwark
Hey Qwark!...I'm droppin' by to say hi...i don't know very much about LG - her songs don't get any air play on the satellite stations i tend to listen to. (and my tv is in storage land for awhile) I'll google and take a peak at what you are talking about.
"Lady Gaga"Now there's a woman who gets right to the"Meat" of entertainment!Whats not to like about him...I mean her...
Yes contrary to the rumor she was never, ever a man, had any part of a male or anything like that. It was just her way of shaking up things, she might regret that now.
,,and yes I know transgenders and transsexuals, trust me she's all GG (genetic girl).
Amazing how this thread degenerated so very quickly!
Degenerated?
How's that?
So far I've been getting very agreeable comments.
The "Lady" is a talent worth watching.
Qwark
Joking...lighten up! was only referring to how it went from talent to sexuality so quickly.
Cool.:..I didn't get that from the "degenerated" comment.
She's not pretty (beauty IS in the eye of the beholder) but she, from a mans point of view, does have a pretty hot "bod." :
...and that "Lady" can play piano!
Qwark
PS...and the lady writes much of her music scores.
Yeah, big difference between "degenerated" and calling someone a "degenerate"!
I agree she's very talented. I hate all the gimmicks, but realize everyone tries to have their own schtick to begin with. Maybe she'll be like Madonna and gradually start dropping them as she becomes more secure in her own success.
She's most popular with the tween set here...and of course...drag queens!
I'm at the top end of "middle aged," :
...but am still mentally "kickin-it."
"Real" talent is recognizable, immediately!
I don't particularly like the "new age" music but the dancing, artwork and backdrops are amazing. It all adds to the talent of this wonderful entertainer: "Lady GaGa." :
Qwark
every new artist needs a gimmick to get noticed..
she was interviewed on a number of talk shows in NY recently as she and Justin timberlake were in town to do a show...and i found her to be very articulate and down to earth...despite the facial stickers and large cross dangling from her fake hair...
I really, really like Lady GaGa. Her music is good and she interacts with her fans.
She is also very smart! She knows how to get the media attention needed to keep her fame up. (a-la-Madonna!)
I would love to see a Madonna and Lady GaGa duet or show/tour together. Now, that would be awesome.
lady GaGa and Madonna were actually on an SNL skit, pretending to be wrestling...
I think I would pay actual money to see a smackdown between Madonna and Lady GaGa!
I like the Monster Ball concert. And she doesn't show any more skin than you would see at the beach.
well wait no more....here is Lady GaGa and Madonna wrestling!!

lady gaga hermaphrodite? I think that is just a rumor! LEAVE GAGA ALONE!!!
by marcel285 13 years ago
in my opinion, gaga is one ugly chick! She could look nice though, if she wore nice clothes..I think shes mental, but i have to say that shes a bloody good singer..Love or hate her, i'm always interested to see what crazy shit gaga is up to..
