   Because she is just freaky.  She dresses, sings, and does everything so freaky.  She is always trying to shock people and that can be very annoying.  Sometimes people want something normal or close to it, and she doesn't like that.  Her personality is a little over the top and she is very outspoken.

   I don't "hate" her, per se. Actually I get the impression she's pretty intelligent!
   
   A) She knows how to put on a good "show" and attract the teeny boppers with nothing better to do (and no taste in music)... but it seems to me that's all it is, an act. I'm guessing in real life, she's as normal as anyone (just with a lot more money).
   
   B) I caught her rant about whether or not she would participate in boycotting Arizona over our immigration law, to which she replied, "Do you really think anybody gives a _____ what us stupid F'n pop stars think?"
   
   Now... as to her actual "music"... ehh... I guess there's no accounting for taste. Though I'd bet she'd be the first to admit that.

   Her music is terrible and her clothes are worse. And to me the worst thing about her was the FANS - when she was in Pittsburgh last month were were inundated by scantily clad freaks. I think she sends a terrible message, especially to teenage girls, on what is acceptable attire in public.

   Do they hate her or do they really mean that they hate her music?  I shouldn't worry about it, music is just music, like what you like and let others worry about their own taste.
   Don't get dragged into justification battles, they're a waste of time.

   I don't hate her, I'm repulsed by her. She obviously has some problems and is taking this out in funny ways. The sickly meat dress and other apparel are all cries for help. And it's telling that so many like her - symbolic of screwed up society and kids.

   Do you know the facts about Lady Gaga?
   She is in the occult and is a satanist. She is a poster-girl for Illuminati mind control. All her signs and symbols represents demonic things and she worships the devil, this is facts. Lady Gaga said some of those things herself. Her songs, her videos, her dressing are all based upon satanic and evil spirits she disregards Almighty God. If you still know these facts and you love her then it is not your right to tell anybody to be nice or to love Lady Gaga. Whether you like it or not, She is totally disgusting for my part and i have nothing to do with her

   I think people dislike Lady Gaga because she's definitely a risk-taker. Many artists, nowadays, are so manufactured and over-processed by their labels and managers that they lose themselves and their art. Even more sad, the world has gotten so use to these label-produced pop stars that if any artist doesn't fall into a "mold" people try to silence them. Gaga is true to her artistry and refuses to "mold" herself, and that scares people. The meat dress, the GRAMMY egg, etc. -- all of these things are a part of what Gaga envisions for her craft. Who is anybody else to tell her she's "crazy" for thinking the way she does? It's unethical, in a a sense, to do so because no one can rightfully call someone else's creativity or art "bad". Art is relative. Therefore, yes, Lady Gaga is relatively unlikely to some. Thankfully, many people who embrace her dedication to her own, unique artistry, as well.
