Pancreatic cancer is the fourth most common type of cancer and yet so many celebrities die of this disease. Steve Jobs (1955-2011, age 56) being the most recent and perhaps the most notable after Michael Landon (1936-1991) and Cardinal Bernadine (1928-1996, age 68).
What are your thoughts, experiences on pancreatic cancer?
Seems age 55-68 is the main time frame for pancreatic. Yet breast cancer strikes sooner in age?
. Patrick Swaye had turned 58 the month before when he died in September 2009. My husband died at age 61 in 1995. Steve Jobs was age 56. Michael Landon was 55 and died in 1991. Cardinal Bernadin was age 68 when he died in 1996.
Great question.Sorry for the late reply
My mother-in-law died of it, although she was around eighty but had been diagnosed in her seventies. She'd had colon cancer some years before, and it had seemed as if that had been cleared up. Whether the pancreatic cancer was a completely separate thing, or a "spin-off" from her having had cancer previously, I don't know.
