Have your kids ever accused you of not loving them because you wouldn't let them do something or...

you didn't buy something for them?

Absolutely.  And more than once.  Both children.  Usually, they are hoping that by saying this, you will try to prove your love for them by giving in and buying the item.  Stand your ground or you will never get out from under.  Children have to know that you are not going to respond to this type of pressure.  They may also feel that you are old-fashioned, out of touch, trying to ruin all their fun, etc., etc., etc.,; but, deep down I believe they realize that you love them.  They probably don't want to admit it at the moment; but, the vast majority of children who are loved, know it.

Many times when they were young, like seven. They know that I love them. They're just trying to make me feel bad or give into their wishes.
