i want to leave my husband. I will be bring my son and most of our stuff with me. can I do that?
This is not the place for such a question, Although I'm sure you will get answers. See a lawyer. There are crises centers for women who will provide all of the help that you need at little or no cost. If you are afraid of what the man might do then they can give you advice on how to handle that. From the tone of your question, I suspect that this is not an emergency. if not take your time consider all of your options and try to do the right thing. What ever that might be. If this is an empluse resulting from some event, stop, allow your self to settle your thoughts. Your emotions are necessarily part of the decision, however, don't allow yourself to be solely activated by your emotions. For your son's sake as well as your own think through your options as rationally as possible.
