When can I stop giving my 17mth old cows milk? All the rest of us are on non dairy alternatives...
to cows milk.
According to our pediatrician, at any time. My son doesn't tolerate lactose products so he has been on soy milk since he was 11 months old. He's now 15 months old. She just told us to make sure that it is fortified to make sure he gets the nutrients that he needs.
You can stop anytime. If they have an aversion to the taste of the non dairy alternatives, maybe you can wean them off the dairy instead of stopping abruptly.
My daughter went onto cow's milk at 12 months. Within a month she was down to just one bottle before bed and I cut that out two weeks ago. She's at fifteen months now and although she has milk with her cereal and in some cooking, she doesn't drink it.
I think it would be a fine time to start.
Cows milk is for calves. If the rest of your family is already drinking something else, make the switch now. A glass of it every now and then is not going to be a big deal, but as a regular drink, it isn't a good idea.

At what age can you stop giving your baby formula milk? My daughter is 12mnths, is it really necessary for her to be on 'growing up milk' or can I just give her cows milk? The cows milk we buy is organic, if this makes a difference?

Personally, I really don't see what gives non-believers the right to criticize and verbally hurt innocent religions who want to do nothing but help spread peace, love, and do charity work for the poor. After much personal researching I've done, I've determined these 3 false excuses that they use so...
