How old do you think children should be before they are allowed to listen to music with profanity in the lyrics?
It depends on the type of parent. The type of music a child listens to is not important as long as the parents are teaching them right from wrong. Some country has profanity in it now. My 8 year old listens to some of it. Honestly my boys have heard some of Eminem's music from my husband. I do my best though to change the channel if I hear a sexual song or one that just says the worst profanity every other word. There is no right or wrong answer here. It is all up to the parent. My boys are free to listen to what they want on their radios in their room. Music doesn't teach bad things unless a parent isn't teaching a child the right things.
