If you are in your fifties and/or sixties, do you long for your older relatives and/or parents( if
they are deceased) and if they are deceased, how do you fill the missing void?
I am 60 (ouch) and my father died when I was 8 and my mother when I was 15. I don't have any brothers and sisters - so yes, even after all of these years, there are days when I just want my mom to hold me.
I have filled the void with my own family. Wonderful husband of 42 years and two married daughter and their families. Having my own family has been wonderful and I am grateful every day for them.
I believe that we would all like to have our relatives back.
As we see our family members die I think we begin to feel insecure.
Who will love me now?
Who will keep me company?
Even if we have big families, they tend to leave us too.
I miss my grandmother. Especially at Easter when she did all her baking for us all.
