She was age 7. You can look this up and see her photo on the Internet. She grew up, got married and had another child also. She has never said who the father of her first child was.
I interviewed a 12 years old mom. My friend is a grandmom and she is 35, she had twins when she was 13.
According to Wikipedia, the youngest ever mother was 5 year-old Lina Medina from Peru, who gave birth to a boy in 1939. She's the only known 5 yr-old to have given birth, but two six-yr-old have given birth, ten 8-yr-olds and by 9 and 10 the numbers are quite high.
This list of the youngest mothers makes sad reading, with some girls forced into prostitution as young as eight. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_yo … th_mothers
" The youngest mother was 5 in 1939 from Peru, the 9 year old mother in 1912 and the 11 year old mother in England in 2006." - http://ptosis.hubpages.com/hub/Early-Pu … ble-Causes
