How to obtain a nursing career with a husband and two young children depending on me?
I don't want to miss out on my kids growing up.
If your kids are the priority good for you! Waiting is something you may want to come to terms with now and make a plan for the future. What you mean by your husband depending on you raises many questions.
Not necessarily depending on me because he works also. I just dont want to neglect anyone during the process!
Yes, that makes sense. Prioritizing what's most important is your first step. Choosing school/career will mean lost family time. Talk it over with your husband and carefully consider what he thinks about what it will mean for both/all of you.
Look for a job with a facility that offers tuition reimbursement as a benefit. You may work as a nursing assistant or caregiver at a hospital or nursing home and then they offer partial payment of your tuition after you work there for a year with the condition you work there so long after graduation.
Earn the first level of the nursing degree like the one year LVN or two year RN. Work a while, then start on the next rung of the nursing degree.
The beauty of nursing is that there are so many people who literally work there way up (one year degree, bridge to two year program, bridge to four year degree) that you can find a lot of support for this. And if you can only go to classes for a one year or two year degree, you HAVE A DEGREE verses "I tried for a four year program and dropped out due to lack of money or academics".
You can take online classes, so that you do not have to leave the children when you are not working. Best of luck!

A college degree is the degree that you most wanted to have and you become a professional: an inheritance is a property, house, farm or real estate, business, money, and more.
