   Many these are excused by the statement "it is for the children", though liberals prefer "for the planet" since that is both universal for the world and applies to those without children.
   You end up with people who feel it is appropriate to supervise and criticize others, based on their own beliefs and political dogma - and their bullying is justified in their minds because they have moral superiority.
   
   Examples:
   
   1. I had trouble breastfeeding my newborn, supplemented with formula, tried pumping at work, shifted to all formula. Except for Aunt Joyce, who was a doula and neonatal nurse, everyone I knew who was in the "breast is best" crowd ignored my health reasons and hectored me for not doing what was best for my child ... regardless of challenges, cost, pain and problems. If I lectured them unsolicited on their jobs or love life in that manner, I'd risk being slapped for the interference. But because it was for the baby, they saw no limits and no need to care about my particular circumstances.
   2. I worked part time after having my second child. I was criticized by feminists for not returning full time, how dare I waste my engineering degree and hurt my career. Ladies, I'm working! No, just bashing me for making a decision that wasn't what they say everyone should be doing. Apparently, women's choices don't include ones they don't like, though social justice warriors are even worse in that regard.
   What about stay at home mothers? Oh, you cut back hours, now you need to stay at home! You aren't? You're neglecting/hurting your children. Your reasons - like maintaining the only health insurance in the family despite health issues for a child - eh, maybe we'll take that but you really should quit.
   Thus I've been hit by flak from BOTH sides in the Mommy wars for working part time. For the children, for the women's right cause, attacked by both.

   The reason why child protective services exists is because not every mother or father for that matter intuitively knows how to properly care for children and some downright abuse them.

   The thing that bothers me is that some parents do not immunize their children. That is beyond foolish as it affects not only the child, but all children who come in contact with said child once he or she becomes sick from the disease the immunization shot would have avoided. One such disastrous decision has a terrible domino effect. Ask any good physician.
   As for all the rest, moms should try their best to do what they sense is right. It is also wise to follow the advice of your pediatrician. I didn't breast feed because it wasn't happening for me. Didn't hurt my feelings one bit. I also stayed home with my baby for one year. After that, I was a working mom. People have do do what works for them, as long as there is no abuse whatsoever.
