Why do people say that money is the root of all evil?
Why do people try to be blind in the critical situation when money is the course of the discussion?
People generally use the term that money is the root of all evil because of the biblical passage below:
"For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil." 1 Timothy 6:10
The verse is easily misinterpreted because it is more about the obsession with money than money itself being evil. Money is amoral meaning it isn't good or bad. Money is a tool. It can be used for good or evil by good or evil people. For example, a construction brick is amoral as well. It can be used for good by building a home out of them, or it can be used as a dangerous weapon when it is hurled at a defenseless person.
I hope this helps.
