Ham & Cheese Baked Ziti Casserole

This is not your average ham and cheese sandwich casserole! This dish is a combination of ham, cheese and pasta that will leave your taste buds going crazy. You can't go wrong with this easy recipe. Baked pasta dishes are always a crowd-pleaser, and you will leave everyone wanting seconds.
Ingredients
- 1/2 pound ham, cut into 1/4 inch cubes
- 1/2 pound ziti pasta
- 1 can tomato sauce
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1/4 green pepper, chopped
- 4 garlic cloves, chopped
- 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup half & half milk
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 3 eggs, boiled
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
- 4 tablespoons butter
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly butter a baking dish.
- In a large pot of boiling water, cook the ziti pasta and eggs. Meanwhile, in a medium saucepan, melt 3 tablespoons of the butter over medium heat add chopped ham, onions, green peppers, and garlic. Saute for about 4 minutes. Add tomato sauce, sea salt, and pepper cook for 5 minutes then add half and half milk and stir until the sauce is slightly thickened.
- Drain the pasta well and return to the cooking pot. Add the tomato sauce and mix together with the pasta. Peel the boiled eggs then set aside.
- Spread layer of pasta on buttered baking dish. Sprinkle cheeses and cut the boiled eggs in half and place on the top of dish. Bake in the oven for 15 minutes covered and 5 minutes uncovered.
