Macaroni Vegetable Soup.
This recipe has been sent to me by my very good friend from the Phillippines. Her name is Ms. Mariz Buhalog. She has been an constant source of not only inspiration but would always help me in dishes. She does know a lot about herbs and spices. Even though she is not trained cook nor had any job as a cook in any joint but she is quite knowledgeable about Pinoy cooking. This is her second recipe on my pages. Her first one was

Macaroni soup basically known to Pilipinos as “sopas” meaning soup.This menu is perfect for breakfast, or during cold rainy days and even when not feeling well.
It can also be a good choice for a light dinner for those who go on a diet,because of its vegetables ingredients it can supply our body with essential nutrients.
Ingredients
250 grms.elbow macaroni pasta
1.5 cup ground pork
1 cup frozen peas,1 tbspoon oil
1 pork broth cubes
4 to 5 cups water
3 cloves garlic (roughly chopped)
1 onion (roughly chopped)
1 carrot sticks,roughly chopped
1 tomatoe,halved
5 to 7 szechuan pepper
2 tbs spoon cooking oil,Salt for seasoning or “patis”
250 grms.cabbage and 100 grms baguio beans(flat green beans)
1 small can evaporated milk(optional)
How to make this soup
1.Bring elbow macaroni pasta into boil and set aside.
2.Saute garlic,tomatoes and onions in 1 tbs of oil over medium heat.
3 Add ground meat simmer and stir until meat is tender.
4.Add pork cube broth,salt and pepper simmer to allow the flavor penetrate the ground meat.
5.Add the macaroni,then water and stir so that the macaroni will not stick at the bottom of the cooking pot.
6.Add the carrots,cabbage and baguio beans.
7.Add the milk and let it boil once.
8.serve it hot and enjoy the soup.
