What are the best fresh veggies to give to your two-year-old?
I would have to say carrots. You can get them in any size and type (baby, full size, sticks) and they are easy to hold and fun to dip.
Mine always enjoyed -and were more likely to eat- carrots, corn and peas straight out of the shell. I'm not sure which they liked the best, as they ate them all. My girls also were fans of sliced fresh cucumbers.
My daughter loves to eat fresh garden cucumbers, carrots, and peas. She also loves kale and lettuce.and tomatoes. This encourages her to at least water our veggie gardens so that the connection is made between nurturing a plot of land for growing and the food that land produces.
My kids always love baked chips made from kale, carrots, purple potato, and sweet potatoes, They called them rainbow chips. Its a good way to toss some veggies in there diet they might not normally like to eat.
When my son was a baby I would puree any vegetable for him. He has now, at four gotten picky. I have the best luck with green beans and carrots. Sometimes he will eat the carrots cooked, but sometimes he wants them crunchy.
I told my husband he needs to eat veggies so both my kids see that and will follow his example.

Do your kids eat their veggies on their own or do you have to bribe them?

What's one of your favorite fresh vegetables? By fresh I mean you enjoy it without it having to be cooked, fried, baked, grilled, broiled or otherwise altered.
