    Hubs on recipes

I recently published a hub on a new chicken recipe that is wonderful, but got a warning saying it was copied from another site. Yes, it was, the site I found the recipe at in the first place! How do people hub about recipes they like without getting a warning that they've copied it? Obviously if I added a chocolate chip cookie recipe, there are hundreds out there exactly like it. Its very frustrating. My intent was to share the recipe and to launch from there a journey my husband and I are with his weight loss surgery. I'm irritated.

Ingredients lists can't be copyrighted, but instructions for cooking can.  Essentially, you stole someone else's work, and HubPages is going to penalize you for it.

If you had read the Terms of Use (which you agreed to when you signed up) or read the FAQ (the link that reads "help" at the top of every page) you'd know that you can't use unoriginal content on this site.  If you feel irritated, you have no one to blame but yourself.
