Does anyone have a recipe for a homemade stir fry sauce that will go on a chicken stir fry?
I just use a very simple combination of 1/3 cup soy sauce and 2 tbsp. of brown sugar. It's actually very good. I generally use this on a fried rice type stir-fry.
I have a simple stir fry sauce that goes great with chicken.
Mix ¼ cup lime juice, 2 Tbsp soy sauce, 1 tsp sugar and 2 Tbsp
Simple and healthy!
I don't mean to adulterate Judydiannes recipe (as it does work well) but you can sub the lime with orange juice!
Thanks you all! These are great suggestions and I will try them all. I am still open to more if anyone else wants to answer.
2 tablespoons water or rich chicken stock
Po lo ku mushroom seasoning (optional, but leaves a good flavor. Can be found in asian supermarkets)
1 teaspoon shaoxing rice wine
2 teaspoons white sugar
1 teaspoon chicken powder (not necessary if using chicken stock)
1 tablespoon oyster sauce.
1 teaspoon sesame oil.
This one works really well.
For a more spicy sauce:
3 tablespoons chicken stock
1 teaspoon Lee kum kee chili garlic paste.
2 teaspoon soy sauce
2 teaspoon white sugar
a bit of corn starch and water slurry (1 tablespoon each of corn starch and water mixed together). Add slurry little by little while sauce is boiling, until you get the desired consistency.
Check out my hub for more recipes to come.
Hey, I know you've been off this topic for a while, but I just published my recipe for stir fry sauce. It goes great with chicken, and serves as the marinade for the chicken as well.
I would appreciate any feedback you could provide. My wife and I love it, but maybe we're just weird .
