Will Hot Dog Annie's ship their sauce out of state?
I was born and raised in Massachusetts and began eating at Hot Dog Annie's when it was called The Silver Grill. I live in Texas now and miss my favorite food of all time. I know they sell the sauce frozen to the public. I will not be coming "home" any time soon and I am craving their hotdogs. Do they have a phone number or email or website where I can reach them? Also, we cannot get New England hotdog buns in Texas. BOO!!!
Sorry! I am not connected in any way to Hot Dog Annie's. In fact, they are probably not too happy that I posted their secret recipe on line. But you can make it yourself now that you have the recipe!
4 cups water
4 cups catchup
4 cups coarsely chopped Spanish onions
1/4 of 5 oz. bottle Worcestershire sauce (1-1/4 oz.=1/8 cup + 1-1/2 tsp.)
1/4 of 2 oz. Bottle Kitchen Bouquet (1/2 oz.=1 Tbsp.)
1/4 of 1 lb. box brown sugar (4 oz.=1/2 cup)
Combine all ingredients thoroughly and simmer for 30 to 60 minutes. Cook hot dogs in sauce.
They may or may not ship it for you but there is a recipe for it. Hope you get to make and enjoy it.

What is your favorite Hot sauce?

I think it's either Georgia or Texas. I've counted almost 30 with Georgia in the title or lyrics. Texas has a bunch, too.

What do you think makes a great hot sauce. I myself like a little bit of fire with a bit of sweet thrown in. I have been making my own hot sauces for over 40 years and one of my favorites is made with mango and habanero...
