i know people drink it, but i used it on my skin. it is amazing as an after sun moisturizer, and also just in general. i had a friend who swore by it, saying it took care of scars.

No.  I buy the commercial drink made in Korea for about $3.00 for a litre and half.  I take about a quarter cup.  Do not take too much or you will have diarrhea.

The best aloe vera products are from Forever Living.www.foreverliving.com.             I, myself was etremely ill before i started to drink the aloe gel as well as use the creams from thier range of aloe products. Thier products are top quality, Just because a product says aloe vera it may not have a great content of pure aloe in it, but Forever Living does have pure aloe as its main ingredient in its drinking gel.
Try it, if it does not work for you, they even offer a money back guarantee!!

Lita-I have not personally done this and my health-oriented friends seem to get theirs in bottled preparations at health food stores. I think it's great you're looking into this and recommend thorough research since plants often house both beneficial and toxic elements.
