      Hello Celeste!
Nice informative article about the Aloe Vera gel. You have highlighted some important points about this wonderful plant.
This is a useful plant in so many ways. The best part is that they grow very easily. I have planted many of them in my home garden, so luckily I don’t have to buy from the stores. Thank you for sharing this well written article.
Thank you Peggy, for sharing this in the forum.

Thanks for sharing this, Peggy. Celeste has written a very useful and interesting article. We have used Alie Vera products and heard much about its healing properties.

I have always loved Aloe Vera.

I once burned my leg on a motorcycle exhaust pipe while out of state.
Someone ran in a nearby house and grabbed an Aloe Vera leaf & broke it open ~ putting the gel on my leg.
It healed my leg.  No scar.

I used to keep this pkant growing in my house, but right now I don't have any.

The information you provide on the gel is great.   Looking on label to read ingredients.

Some companies do not put 100% aloe vera in package.  Sometimes it's a bit misleading, so it's great to check it out.

I used to buy one locally at walmart but I don't rember brand ~ it was 100% aloe in a tube.
      Great write.

    Hi Celeste,

Thanks for the informative article about Aloe Vera gel. As far as I can remember, my mother has used aloe vera gel that she collected from the plant for her hair. My mother has a long dark hair since she was a young girl. I envy her for that.

Oh, and when covid started two years ago, I bought aloe vera gel to make homemade hand sanitizer. I remember at the store there was a shortage of hand sanitizer! It worked fine for me.

Thanks, Chitra for sharing the article on this forum.

Thank you for sharing the article in the forum Peggy and thank you for all the comments. I thought I knew a fair amount about aloe vera and was surprised with the new information as I researched the article.
Brenda, my mom has super dry skin and was told to use aloe vera gel. It is super healing so I'm happy to hear that it helped you after your burn.
I use it as a daily facial toner.

I use the natural herb once for a wound. But I'll soon get another for facial care. I hope to store it in my freezer this time around.

    Great write indeed.

Interesting article Celeste. I have aloe vera growing everywhere, so whenever there is a burn or injury here is always a plant handy to procure a leaf off to use the gel. It is an amazing plant. I used to also buy aloe vera juice and mix with grapefruit as a drink. Thanks for sharing, Peg.
