I like spiced rum but brandy is good, too!

I think soberity at the holidays is the best course of action so I don't spike my egg nog.

If at all????   :-)   Sorry its not eggnog in my book if it ain't spiked.
The safe choice is your common Bacardi light rum.  But the Myers or another good dark rum would be better.
Wikipedia says brandy, moonshine, or whiskey...  moonshine?  Hmm...
    I'd vote the rum definitely.

Soy nog all the way, oh yeah!  Unspiked (I'm into wine at the moment), but mixed with a little soy milk.  Mmmmm.  smile

I'm not a big fan of eggnog but if I do have a little during the holidays, I prefer non-spiked. I think it tastes better and can be shared with the younger generation during holiday season.

Local apple brandy. It's been made out in the woods around here since the early 1700s. Hard to get unless you know someone, but nothing warms you up better on a cold Christmas Eve.

Spiced rum is hard to beat in eggnog! But equal parts Jack Daniels and Crown Royal also works nicely, if you want it to have a real kick. Captain Morgan is great for the spiced rum, but Firefly Sea Island Spiced Rum is my personal favorite. I typically add homemade flavor-infused simple syrups too. I'm a huge fan of spiked eggnog during the holidays :-)

Eggnogg is really good with Captian Morgan's Spiced Rum.

i love eggnogg with Cognac and Bourbon!! Rum and Brandy definitely go best with it and are traditional ways. But i prefer otherwise.
