What is the best way to store fresh bean sprouts and how long will they last?
I have started growing my own and this is all I need to know now.
Make sure there is no moisture on them. Then freeze them in airtight bags such as Ziploc bags. I am pretty sure they will keep for at least 3 months in the freezer. Good luck!
They will not last too long. Eat them! Rinse once daily and keep in the fridge.
Bean sprouts will keep longer if kept in the dark since they continually will grow upward. Simply expose them to sunlight a couple of days before you eat them. If they are kept below 60 degrees F, this should discourage the growth of mold. Their maturation is also tempurature dependent.
The best way to store bean sprouts is in the refrigerator, but not for more than one day.
