Oh yes
As a kid I loved tomato soup with parmesan cheese on top. On the side I would be pleased as punch to have a small bowl of cottage cheese with cling peaches on top. Oh - culinary perfection!
Nowadays, my favorite meal is a steaming plate of hot blitveh - a dark leafy vegetable cooked with a potato or two. I wrote a hub about its virtues and how to prepare it if anyone is curious. I eat it mostly for dinner, garnished with olive oil, french bread and a hunk of good quality cheese. Wine tops it off. Best of all, it's comfort food that happens to be on my side, calorie wise ... mmm...
