What is your favorite brand of coffee?

Out of the test challenges, what have you determined to be your favorite brew and why?

I can't pin it down to one particular brand but I do love a dark roast the best. Something nice and strong, full bodied, and flavorful.

For brewing coffee at home, we generally buy whatever's on sale or have coupons for (preferably both at the same time) so I don't particularly have a "brand loyalty." Coffee's coffee.

However, if I'm out on the road I actually prefer McDonalds' coffee over Dunkin Donuts or any of the other chains.

We like Maxwell House's 100% Colombian.  After the factory of Folgers was contaminated when Katrina hit, just the thought of them having to clean it up and then using that brand, I just could not do it.  There are so many wonderful brands out there, but whichever one is available in the 100% Colombian is the one I buy.  The breakfast blend is nice too.

I purchase the decaffeinated store brand due to the low price, and not being a coffee fan. I drink it for the same reason that I drink tea and take 1 baby aspirin per day.

Our favorite brand to brew at home is the Eight O'Clock Bean-whole bean Columbian...we like to grind it ourselves for the ultimate flavor.  Dunkin Donuts is pretty good but the Chick Fil A coffee if you are out on the road is REALLY good, too!

My mother also swore by Eight O'Clock.  She'd get that for a treat when she could.

I love Carte Noire instant coffee and I buy it only when it is on sale as it is expensive. But it taste so much more better than any other coffee I have ever tasted.  Thankfully they sell it in large jars so it will last for a while.

I'll have to look into that coffee, as I have never heard of it.  Thanks.

    Hi Deb,
Hands down it is Tim Hortons. And if you haven't tried it, coming your way now that Burger King is buying the franchise.
I look forward to being able to pop into a Burger King (not a typical stop for me) while driving through the US to grab a java and some Timbits  :-)

I like Chock Full of Nuts. Special flavor to me and I am tired of all the others. They get this in stores more often than they use to but I keep a pretty good supply. I just drink coffee now on special occasions or with special desserts. Black.

Thanks for letting me know, Jackie.  Lots of people are giving coffee the back seat.
