What is it in coffee which makes a person need to use the bathroom?
For many, coffee triggers the need to have a bowel movement. Is this because it is an irritant, or does caffeine aggravate the intestines or is it something else?
Caffeine is a diaretic which expands the blood vessels (I believe), so I'm assuming that's at least part of it.
