it has to be creme brulee. I just go nuts with the hard sugar topping. you crack it and get to the smooth center. It really taste good.

I am especially in favor of deserts with multiple formats and textures of chocolate in them.  Death by Chocolate is for me.

Eat dessert first!! (title of one of my recent hubs)

Anything off the sweet trolley for me...  in fact, I judge a restaurant by its desserts - I award silver spoons for the best, but very few five sliver spoons restaurant out there...

I love to make desserts. My dessert of choice for this holiday was Pavlova. Had one on xmas day with cherries and flaked chocolate, and a more traditional one on Boxing Day with banana, kiwi fruit, and passionfruit. We also had a trifle on Tuesday night - which is always best eaten the next day for breakfast, so you have to make a big one wink  The dessert I like to make to impress is profiteroles or chocolate fondant. The dessert I can never say no to in a restaurant is creme brulee (or crema catalana as posted above!)

Because I got a Persian cookbook for xmas I am going to be making Persian desserts during January. YUM

Rotten Egg Pie!  Every holiday or family get together.

And yes, there is a recipe - probably the only #1 google spot I have (how much competition is there for that)?

Definitely leche flan. Milk, sugar, egg yolks, caramelized sugar on top. Not for everyday consumption because it's very sweet but you'll forget your name if you taste it.
