Woman stopped for walking with man, hits cop

   A Saudi religious policeman who stopped a young woman for walking with a man in an amusement park in Saudi Arabia received a rude shock - the woman repeatedly hit him, a British daily reported.
   
   The policeman was from the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice. The incident took place in the Saudi Arabia's eastern city of Hofuf Mubarraz.
   
   He asked the man and the woman, who was in her mid-20s, who they were and their relationship with one another, the Daily Mail reported Wednesday. This was too much for the man, who collapsed.
   
   Even before the policeman could react, the woman began hitting him. She punched him repeatedly on the head and upper torso. The policeman had to be taken to hospital after suffering severe bruises.
   
   Unmarried men and women are not allowed to mix under Saudi Arabia's strict Islamic rules.
   
   "People are fed up with these religious police, and now they have to pay the price for the humiliation they put people through for years and years," Media Line news agency quoted Saudi human rights activist Wajiha Al Huwaidar as saying.

      Humiliation is the least of it... they beat women for acting improper. It is about time the Arab women figured it out and said piss off to Islam.
      
      I guess I may be a llil to hopefull for them.
      
      I can only imagine what the men of Islam world-wide think of the new mis USA. Or is it America?... who cares same difference.
      
      I bet the Saudi Mullahs are in a rage over her.... at least in public. I bet they are suffering from quite a different type of "fit" in private.lolol
      
      I have seen her... very beautiful young woman.

   wow! ....good for her for standing up for herself and giving him a good bonk on the head!....i'm sure there will be repercussions...poor them for having to live with that kind of fear day in and day out....'religious cops - probably go home to their many wives and mistresses too'

   The guy collapsed?  Clearly there was nothing improper going on between them as evidently the man does not have any testicles.

      You get beat at the very least for immorallity in public in Saudi Arabia. Yes, just walking with a woman not related to you is very dangerous. He had good reason to fear those morality police, Greek. His response should serve to exemplify the harshness of Shari'a. It is not a very forgiving set of Laws.

   This is a really sad state of living. It's an outrage. I wonder what will happen to her?  Will she be stoned to death? Or beheaded?  Seriously, that's what religious legalism is all about. Just think, if one is born in Saudi Arabia, that's all they ever know is the strict indoctrination. I wonder if they are allowed to leave the country? Probablly not. Shocking.

      i guess saudi too is opening up a bit..read that now they have a woman as state minister..they have many business women too...yes religious police are powerful lot out there..

   I expect that when people are placed under pressure, stress it's like a water boiling pot.  Sooner or later it's going to blow.
   
   It is foolish to think we can control people 100% of the time, evenually there will be reprecusions.
