If I really enjoy reading a hub I will rate it up, then I will tell the person whose hub it is in the comment that I leave that I have rated their hub up.
I do this because otherwise I don't know how they can tell that they have been rated up.
Maybe there is a heading in my account that I am missing maybe you have to be rated up first before it will show. But if you can't see it and no one coming to you page can see it what is the point?
The number of thumbs up and down used to be part of the stats page, until so many hub authors became obsessed about it and then those stats were removed.
Yep, by removing those columns from the stats page it meant having fewer threads per week of people complaining because they got one thumbs down.
Can you imagine how many extra threads a day there would be if those stats were still available?
Yes, people posting their entire hub asking why did this get a thumbs down?
Thanks for the info it makes things more understandable.
Interesting,
I guess it is all part of the secret formula that makes up the hubscore

I was just wondering, if you read a well written hub but it was something controversial that had a different opinion than you had, would you rate it thumbs down because of that or would you rate it on the hub itself ( written well, lots of information, good layout?)Just wondering because I write...

How do we know that a hub is rated up or down?

What can you do to undo an accidental 'Thumbs Down'?As I was scrolling over and preparing to click on the 'Thumbs Up' button on a hub; I prematurely clicked and hit the Thumbs Down button! I thought, oops, I'll undo it; but it wouldn't let me. I don't want to negatively affect someone's hub. There...
