Is it just me or is anyone noticing sharp drop in traffic these days? Am logging in lately do see my highest performing hubs dropping drastically. Why can't someone have a 100 percent traffic on daily basis here. Anyways I (everybody actually) needs advice on this if you can help and if you are the type that maintains steady flow of great ( I mean great) traffic. Let the inputs begin already. Yeah I know relevant topics, keyword research and all that, let's just get deep and creative with these. Enough
It must just be you. And what do you mean by "a 100 percent traffic on a daily basis" anyway?
Traffic ebbs and flows. Are you always interested in the same things to the same degree every single day of your life? I'm not, and if I were, life would be monotonous to say the least.
You might want to note that, just like the drop in tv viewership that happens each spring, computer usage too drops during the times of year when there are more daylight hours and better weather. If you think it's bad now, just wait until late July and early August, which is when Americans (the largest percentage of the web audience for sites based in the US) take their longest and most sustained vacations of the year.
Traffic always goes up and down, no need to freak out about it, just keep plugging along
i have noticed a large drop in traffic today on Hubpages stats.
Mine are up -- maybe they are redistributing the wealth?
Here we have some long awaited decent weather and people tend to do other things rather than sit in front of their computers so I'm thinking it could be a shift from indoor activities to outdoor ones that could be responsible for a good part of it. But....seasons change! It will all be good!
Yeah thanks for all you responses, sorry I was not around to make it conversational, but if you wanna talk now am here. Thanks for all the contributions though
My traffic is on its normal par, and I will reiterate what others have said ... the internet ebbs and tides according to peoples needs. I've had hubs languish in despair, only to go crazy the next day. It's all a craps shoot, whereas somedays you're on top and sometimes you hit rock bottom.
The biggest contributing factor is Google reindexing pages to try new content, which can knock your article around on the tree. The only way to fight this is to have a really strong article that resists replacement, and that only comes with a strong article which has been on the internet for quite a long time.
Your best bet is to write more articles and not to languish on the ones that petered out today. In doing so, you will create articles that will climb up while the others fall, providing you with a bit of balance. The more articles you have - the more balance you will see in your daily hits.
I hope this helps.

So, yesterday, I got an email saying one of my articles had been edited: a recipe that's been posted since 2017. I'm not sure it really needed editing, since most of what was done was superficial. I checked it over, hated about half of the changes, and edited the article to correct some of the...

Awhile back the team started unfeaturing articles due to lack of traffic. Many here think this is a bad idea, and I agree. Doing this upsets many writers and has nothing to do with quality or how Google views our work...except for the fact that leaving low or no traffic articles online...

So now hubpage pro goes and ruins my article. They remove the first picture which is what draws the traffic to my article. This is how it works. I know this because I used to get 1.5 million views on posts in the early days of G+ And I did that often enough (2 or 3 times a week over a two year...
