   A US woman whose two children were reported missing 15 years ago has tracked them down using Facebook. A US woman whose two children were reported missing 15 years ago has tracked them down using Facebook.
   
   The children's father, Faustino Utrera, took off with them in 1995 when they were aged two and three, said deputy district attorney Kurt Rowley.
   
   The mother, from southern California, found her daughter's Facebook profile after searching for her name on the social networking site in March, Mr Rowley said.
   
   They were traced in Florida and officials said the now 17-year-old girl and her 16-year-old brother have been placed in the custody of the state.
   
   "You can imagine the feelings she's having, not seeing her children for so many years and knowing they've bonded with another family," Mr Rowley said about the mother. "But at the same time they're almost within her grasp."

   We heard one side of the story. And people jumped all over the "poor mother" scenario.  The media made the father sound like a real bad guy.  Maybe he was/is... maybe he isn't.
   
   Seldom do we hear both sides of these stories. They are just out there to stir up the masses.
   
   And yes it's sad if the father really is a bad guy and denied a worthy mother of seeing her children.
   
   But here is another story that is just the opposite.

   The father was forced to send his soon ... 4 years old off to live with his mother and her new husband.  Result: The boy is now dead and they are awaiting trial on murder.
   
   So before people jump the gun on this one they need to hear from the father and his reasons for taking his children elsewhere.

      Given that here side is also the side the courts and police support, all things being equal I think it is more than just one side of the story.

   MikeNV - your right there are two sides to very story - however - taking two children for 15 years without informing someone is not good - but I appreciate what your saying
