Hi guys, I've written a great Hub on how to choose an online poker room. I have not included any links or affiliate capsules. It is 100% informative and not promotional at all. It doesn't mention any online poker rooms either.
Is it okay to post a Hub like this?
Cheers and thanks in advance for your help.
Happy Hubbing!
Rob
Nevermind, I've checked Google Adsense guidelines and there's simply no way you can post anything gambling-related.
I've deleted the Hub. Although, I still maintain that it's a great article. I'll go publish it on my blog which has google ads turned off so I can write about all that stuff that isn't "family friendly" :p Sheesh, Google is a bit Draconian in this sense. I really don't write anything that risqué.
Anyway, back to the grindstone. Have a fantastic week everyone.
Don't worry about your loss of Google Adsense, there are many other advertising techniques you can use.
Specifically with gambling it would be more benefitial to add affilaite links to gambling sites than use cpc adverts.
Yeah, thanks, I do use other affiliates on my blog. Google is far too restrictive in terms of my writing. I write quite a bit on sex and relationships for example and I'm an avid poker player. I used to head up BLUFF Magazine South Africa, so yeah, there's a ton of poker content I have but can't post on any Adsense affiliated sites.

Ah thanks... I tried a search first... must just be an idiot. :p Thanks.
Well at least I had the wherewithal to not publish it first... yay for learning.
I posted a hub about slot machines and a second hub about scratch card game, and I had to remove it becuase they are gambling related. Alothough I see many hubs promoting online casinos, poker roome, bingo here and they are allowed. Why?
I read your hub about scratch games; it was pretty good, but I was also wondering about how you could put that on HubPages. 250,000 pounds as a lump sum or 1,000,000 over 15 years, something like that.
Other hubs may not be OK, perhaps they just haven't been flagged yet - take a look at the FAQ about gambling.

I can't seem to find an answer for this in the learning center. I have a large set of articles I've been writing for a while + some time on my hands to dedicate to Hubpages for the next couple of months. Would publishing 10 hubs a day benefit or disadvantage me, both in terms of hub score /...

When our hubs were once chosen, we had a way to see what was supposed to be fixed before it appeared on a niche site. Now I don't see anything like that. It could be me, but there was a way to see what they wanted added or deleted. It's very frustrating. Yesterday I was told my hub on Zeus, the...

This is very difficult for me. I have created 3 hubs so far and am learning more and more about writing hubs as each day progresses. One of the more enjoyable and surprising aspects of HubPages is the community here. It is amazingly friendly.I have been experimenting with writing styles, subject...

In reviewing my traffic sources recently, I noticed that I was getting traffic from a site called traffup.com, which I had never heard of before. I went to the site and signed up for it to see what it was all about, and found that someone had posted a link there to one of my hubs. I thought...

how come my hub does not appear on any search engine no matter how specific the search is?

One thing that I've noticed in my traffic stats is that one particular hub about a particular acoustic guitar - seems to be doing better than other hubs about what I would think would be guitars that are more sought after. So I looked at the hub that is doing so well, and tried to figure out why...
