All of us have spent some days learning in the schools (may be some exceptions). We worked their hard. Our teachers too but have they taught us to fight crisis?

Does any school teach us how to fight financial or economic crisis and come out as winner?

All Schools are there to educate students.  They teach us how to read and write. The purpose of schools are not to teach how to fight economic and financial crisis.  We should learn them from our father and forefathers. Mother will teach charity and discipline while father will teach all other aspects of life, including finance.  That is Indian way of life.

Not that I know of it is all based on experience , we used to have Free Enterprise when I was in School however it just gave you the foundation and basics on the economy.smile

I attend a public academy school where there's quite a selection when it comes to electives.  They've started teaching personal finance and money management courses.  I took the finance one and it really didn't teach me anything but a few vocabulary terms like budget and income, things I already knew.  So while I think schools are trying to promote better spending, I don't think they're doing it well.  They seem to lack the ability to teach the "how to" part.

I think basic personal financial training is either not taught well, or not taught at all at the secondary level. Which is sad, but true.  I went all the way through college before I decided to educate myself on financial literacy.

They teach auto shop and home ec, but nothing to do with budgeting or financial planning.  Ridiculous, once you think about it.

For making students capable of fighting the hardships of life and achieving financial success, they must be imparted technical education. Even the pure subjects, like mathematics, must be taught in correlation to the applications in other fields.
