   Ok, a few questions about links, because I don't really understand them.
   
   1. I realize links in hub comments have no follow tags - this means they dont count in terms of google, right? What about Digg, stumble, yahoo answers, etc - those are no follow as well, arent they?
   
   2. If you have links on a blog, I assume its only counted once, and putting it in more than one post would be useless?
   
   3. Do links on blogger blogs have less value than links on websites?
   
   4. Do links in signatures usually have the no follow code?
   
   5. Do links in forums usually?

      It depends entirely on the software and whether or not the Admin wants to implement the feature.
      
      If you're not shy of HTML then next time you're at a forum thread right click and View Source, and do a Find for nofollow and see if it comes up and where it comes up.

   1. Yes, but some individual links from a particular person can be dofollow
   
   2. What do you mean? You can link several times from the same blog only in different posts and they may well count for more - it depends
   
   3.It depends on which blogger's blog it is - they all have different page rank, much like here. For instance, my personal page rank here is 3/4 but the sites page rank is 5/6
   
   4. Not sure what you mean by signatures?
   
   5. Yes they are usually nofollow

   Hmm. Still confused.
   
   My blog is a 4 and so is my hubpages profile - but obviously Im not putting those links in here. I have them on my blog in the sidebar - but I mean, if I have them there, and then make a separate page for them and list them all, they probably wouldnt count again, right? Since they are already listed on the blog, I mean..
   
   Does google trawl an entire site, or just the front page? Cos I was thinking if you have a link page somewhere not immediately seen, would that count for anything?

      Yes. That's true. But, if, like me , you write on several subjects, a link in the side bar will count, but you can get extra link juice by linking individual pages, to something here. And vise versa. If the subject is similar.
      
      I keep several blogs at wordpress and blogger, just to post links to here and othe rplaces I write.
      
      Google CRAWLS  the entire site, so you can put the links on a seperate way-in-the-back page, and they will count, but that will not generate any traffic and I think that is part of the value of the link as far as google is concerned. Do people click and follow ?

   You are using Firefox. Install the plugin that shows nofollow links, and you get most of your questions answered. All mentioned sites have a plenty of links, some of them are nofollowed, some not, and general answer is - it depends. With this plugin you will see it immediately yourself, exactly links that do interest you.
   
   As for site-wide vs single link. Yes, extra links from the same site are counted, but not like links from different sites. In other words, it is better to have 100 sites linking to you with one link each than one site with 100 links. But one site with 100 links is better than one link from one site...

      Pffft. My word is so much better sounding.
      
      I was considering the blog(s) thing.. but I dont think I have the energy, I am too busy to maintain extra blogs. I barely have time for my own at the moment!

   Whats the value of putting links in our hubs?
   
   To our own hubs, I mean.. do they count like being on a separate site, or do they get less credit cos they are being linked to the same site?

         It counts for even more than that too. Extensive internal linking helps with pagerank flow and indexing in Google. It partially explains why blogs tend to rank so well. There is usually a lot of internal linking in a blog.
         
         Isa, if you want to blow your mind on SEO stuff, head over to Andy Beard's blog at http://andybeard.eu/  He talks a lot about internal linking strategies and factors.
         
         Also, check out seobook.com and seomoz.org.  They have some good free resources explaining some of this stuff in addition to the stuff they are trying to sell.
         
         But like Paul mentioned, everything is conjecture.

   Isabella -- only google really knows, and it depends on many factors.
   
   But as an example, a link from a brand new blog is probably going to carry less weight than a link from one of your own well established hubs.  But if you somehow got a link on the home page of yahoo to one of your hubs, it would be worth a ton.
