My first hub - constructive feedback needed

   Hey I have just finished my first hub and would like to know what experienced hubbers think of it. I am new to hubpages and like trying new things. Any tips for beginners and general guidance on how to improve my first hub will be greatly appreciated so I can make my second hub even better.

   I had a look.  I'm not a cook and I mostly only write satire and attempts at humor, but since you're not getting any advice from the really good money-makers on here, I'll help out with what I can.
   
   First off, your writing is fine, and I think your writer's "voice" is engaging.  You're proofreading is good too (except up at the top you have "comprises" where you wanted "comprised.")  So, all in all, that part is good.
   
   It's a bit short though, I reckon it around 380-400 words.  That's not necessarily a horrible thing, but Google does like meaty content, so if you can add some to it, even just another 150 to 300 words, that might prove worthwhile.  Maybe another recipe, or even short write ups of the cook books you have linked at the bottom.  You can just talk about cookbooks in general, or how to choose a good cabbage at the store, maybe types of cabbage to use... or even just drop in a short anecdote about your mother's cabbage recipe or the time your dog ate some and got gas (I think you get the point)... and that will give your hub some extra heft to make Overlord Google happy.  Also, if you can provide links to some "cabbage lovers website .com" sites, that might pay some ranking dividends too.
   
   But, if you aren't too concerned about Google searches and hubscore stuff, which in a way doesn't matter (doesn't help satire no matter how many words or links i have LOL), you've already got a nicely done recipe.  Good job.

   The only thing that I saw that was a discrepancy was the ingredient list and the video, the two are different recipes.  I'm not sure if this are your recipe, or something you got off the internet. I am a cook, and I did happen to notice that.  The spelling didn't affect me one way or another.  I didn't notice the mis-spelled word.

   I would agree with Shadesbreath about it's length. He gave you some good suggestion for adding in, which you might want to take serious.
   
   Secondly, the picture at the top needs to be moved from the position it is in. My recommendation is to break your first text capsule up into two parts. You have apparently written your opening in the same text capsule as the recipe itself.
   
   This will work against you, if you are trying to create earnings from the hub, simply because of the location spots ads are placed within the hub.
   
   As you can see for yourself, when you look at the hub, you will see ads at the top above the pictures, and then you have an ad next to the heavily worded section of your text capsule.
   
   If you separate out the recipe, and put it into a text capsule by itself, then you can move the picture down next to the second capsule(the text capsule used for the recipe would become your second capsule). Putting the picture next to the recipe would give your view a picture of what the end results looks like.
   
   The benefit is a shorter first text capsule, that which, optimizes ads space- ads above it- ads next to it, and ads below it. The prime real estate for ads is next to the first text capsule and putting the picture at the top, doesn't give your viewer/reader access to your text until they scroll down a bit. This is considered bad by many.
   
   Other than that, I would say to add a couple of more targeted keywords, similar to what you already have.
   
   But, overall, you have a very nice first hub. Congratulations!

   I have finally made an 'ad' type of Hub, my first of this kind.  If anyone could please take a look at it and see if it is good or needs improvement.  I would appreciate any feedback.

   Nice job on the hub! Ya got a little typo in the first graf (stuufed instead of stuffed), but really pretty good overall.
   
   You made very good choice of keywords "Stuffed Cabbage Recipe," (I'm totally impressed that you chose that keyword out of what you had to choose from--well done) and you have the keyword in your title, URL, tags and in a section header. Just work it into your text at least once, preferably in the first capsule. Make sure to go and get some reputable backlinks. If you do, you stand a good chance of ranking well for the hub.
   
   Now here's the bad part. If you're looking to make money with the hub, fuhgeddaboutit. Food titles don't pay. Trust me. I'm the poster child for poor starving food writers. The CPC for your keyword is a mere $0.16. That means that MAYBE one or two of the advertisers is paying Google a whopping $0.16 per ad. And MAYBE you'll be lucky enough that one of those $0.16 ads shows up on your share of the ad impressions. The MOST you would get from that click is roughly $0.10.
   
   Let me put it to you this way...There are roughly 6,600 searches for that keyword per month. IF you got to be #1 in the search engines and IF all 6,600 people came to your hub, you could reasonably expect 1% to 2% to click on an ad. Splitting the difference, if 1.5% clicked on an ad and IF you were getting that $0.10, you would make a total of $9.90 per month from that hub. Except that HubPages gets 40% of the ad impressions, so truly, I believe that the MOST you can expect from that hub is less than $6.00 per month IF everything goes perfectly.
