What is a tracker code and how to create it? When I enter into the URL tracker under my account. I tried to create a new URL tracker but it prompt me to enter a tracking token and description. What do I need to enter in that? Thank you

you already have a default tracker. If you want to create a unique one you should follow these instruction http://hubpages.com/my/trackers# .

suppose you want to insert a tracker code "new" then your new tracker will look like these hubpages.com/_new/profile/saleheensblog
Yuou can use anything in place of "new" but no slash or space. number and letters are allowed.

Sorry, your current link is wrong. It is simply a link back to the profile page itself. Please check up on the instructions and redo the link.

Sorry to say, but this is unbelievable.

The link on your profile page is still wrong, because it now goes to "tour/hubpages" and not to the sign-up page.

          WRONG:

Here is your current link: http://hubpages.com/_DELETED/tour/hubpages

          CORRECT:

It should be like this: http://hubpages.com/_DELETED/user/new

WE - there's nothing wrong with directing new people to the tour page. There is a sign up link at the bottom of the page. I often use this page and I also use some others as well.

As far as I can tell, the link that Burningdesire has provided does not work. I get a "That page doesn't exist" warning.

With all due respect, I think the tour is not optimal, because some people will not make it to the sign-up link. What can go wrong usually does go wrong. So I stand by that the link should go directly to the sign-up page, which seems to be the more conventional choice.

You'd have to test it I guess to see what was optimal page to send new users to - have you? Conventional is not always best! Some people like to have a little info on what they are signing up to and so the tour page is great for that. You'll find that experienced hubbers use quite a range of pages to link to. Check out Mark Knowles profile and which page he directs new users to: http://hubpages.com/profile/Mark+Knowles

Hi thanks for replying I actually would like the tour pages part as maybe some people are not familiar with what hubpages is about so I decided to add that to the profile page and I have re-do again. I dont know why it says the page does not exist but I try again and it did direct to the tour page with the sign up. So I hope this time it is correct.

                Hi W.E

I appreciate your help. I actually wanted to have the tour page because if I send out to my friends most of them would not know what is hubpages so I choose the tour page to be in profile but I thought I did it right till you say that page doesnt exist. I went in and try and indeed it is so I re-do again and this time it prompt me to go to the tour page. So I hope this time it works. Thanks

Burningdesire, you are welcome. I do see your point and Susanna's point. Whatever works for you is wonderful. I did check your link, and certainly it appears to be working. Which is really quite marvelous. In fact, I cannot find enough good things to say about it!
