While the rules for having multiple accounts are short and sweet material wise they fail to tell you some very important things when trying to attempt this technique.
In a nut shell the rules state in a that you can't use one account to prop up the other in any manner and must not have both accounts hanging out in the same areas comment wise.
I heeded these rules and was doing as they also suggest which is contributing to the community with the 2nd account in the same manner I would with my original account by answering questions, making posts in the forum that added to the discussion and/or were helpful, likewise in my comments on Hubs and even in a short time released one Hub that had a rising score and had another Hub cooking in the oven and rising in score.
Despite doing everything the way they claim they want you to approach multiple accounts they forgot to mention the one unspoken Hub Pages rule and here it is.
#1 Any of the upper echelon Hubbers who have been here a long time can fart in the wind and it shall despite the smell be granted an instant high Hubber score as we at Hub Pages aim to support these Hubbers while holding down those newer Hubbers who dare to take part in the activities that would allow them to diversify their writing on Hubpages and keep separate in name certain types of online marketing styles and contents.
a. To accomplish this we will not discourage them in any direct verbal manner, rather we shall drive down their Hubber score making it apparent to them very quickly that despite any efforts they make these techniques are not reserved for their kind to attempt promotional success of a different form deviating from your main account.
So if you have not been here for a long while I suggest you don't try to do like the Hub Pages Royalty who can do no wrong. No we don't deserve it we are unworthy Hubbers we of the lower cast.
Er... do what? I'm baffled!
And your author score is 97 so I don't see what you're complaining about!
This is called a rant EmpressFelicity and the rant was created by me trying to follow what I've seen other high rated hubbers that have been here longer claim to be doing by having multiple accounts each to cover a different online marketing approach.
However in my attempt to do so even by following the rules and doing things properly my hubber score for that second account just immediately plummeted from the starting score of 30 down to 25 seemingly acting contrary to the scoring process they claim.
In other words every right step I took on that account no matter how short lived was met with a point drop of 1 point thus I surmise that Hub Pages was simply trying to tell me I am not special enough yet to attempt such endeavors.
Sorry, but there must be something else at work here.
I'm almost certainly not one of the "special" hubbers you refer to. Yet I started a second account about three months ago, which now has 30 hubs in it and an author/hubber score that climbed steadily in its first couple of weeks and has since stayed consistently in the late 80s/early 90s.
Whatever it is that's the problem, it's certainly not the sort of favouritism that you're describing.
Are you copying your material from somewhere else? Duplicate content will have a drastic effect on author scores. Before you ask, I'm not implying that you're copying off other people - you could be copying your *own* articles/blog posts/whatever, and it would still mean you'd be penalised for duplicate content.
How long have you had the other account? It may be too new to have risen in score yet. I think you're perhaps drawing some erroneous conclusions. If you've had it awhile, I'd be willing to bet your other persona has some type of TOS violation issues with the hubs posted under it. A simple email to team@hubpages.com will answer that for you and you won't have to guess anymore.
No it was only alive for a short while and I was not breaking the TOS,but in relation to how quickly my score rose up for this my main account by doing the same things I was doing on the 2nd account it just seems odd that the 2nd account failed to rise and in fact dropped with every proper action I took.
Read my profile KCC BIg Country and you will find that I claim to be mildly nuts and perhaps that is not an understatement. I notice and correlate minor details that others tend to overlook or never realize exist all together. Is this paranoid tendencies kicking in or a curse to notice what others never notice or care to notice for that matter.
If it makes you feel any better my newest account was at 27 the last time I looked. And none of my identities have been above a 94 for many, many months.
All I really care about is that identity with a 27 has produced more sales today than probably some 100 hubbers have seen.
Those scores go up and down like mad - and if you're here to make money, I can reassure you I've seen no relationship between hubber score and money - or hubber score and anything else except that there's a topic here that you have to have a 100 hubber socre to post in.
BenjaminB - if it's only been for a short while 20 hubber scores are perfectly normal. Everyone of mine has spent time in the 20's despite traffic and sales.
I don't know how long you've been working online, but you'll quickly drive yourself crazy thinking like this. No one tells you how scores are explicitly derived because they don't want you to game the system.
And none of the numbers ever add up properly. And that doesn't mean that there's a conspiracy.
Thanks for clearing that up Nelle. If you've got profiles with 20s, Bnejamin shouldn't worry at all!
Oh you're welcome KCC and BenjaminB. It does seem that the initial hubber scores start out lower than they used to. Badcompany is back and even with him getting dozens of fans and lots of reads right off the bat, I just saw he's at only 34.
I agree with Nelle here-
I have a handful of accounts, some of which have never posted in the forums or answered a question. In fact all they've done is post hubs.
I have an account that's 11 days old with a single hub and a hubscore of 40. I don't care. Why? Because I'm not using it for backlinks.
If the score on my accounts was 10 I wouldn't care - because it has absolutely no influence on traffic or earnings.

I'd like to suggest we get rid of Hubber Score - and perhaps even Hub Scores. They:- are constantly misunderstood;- cause a lot of upset and grief in the forums; and- encourage newbie Hubbers to direct their efforts in entirely wrong directionsFor instance, I've known newbie Hubbers stop...

I've always wondered why some Hubbers have more than one account. Is this a good thing or not? The only thing I can think of is that after a person writes many Hubs, it becomes a chore to take care of that one account.

Who thinks we should ask to reinstate a page dedicated to locating hubbers by hubber score. Beginning with 100-0.We once had such a page here that made the hubber score much more relevant, and we could at least get a chance to locate the top hubbers who most definitely deserved high praise for...

Hubber scores do not reflect anything but some weird algorithm that is not in sync with anything. My score just went sixteen points down. My views are up and I am featured way more that 140 times. But what I noticed was Billybuc. He is an 88. What? He is the highest ranking site at Hub pages. This...
