How can I get 6 clicks and the total amount be about a buck? I know 6 isn't a lot, but hey it's pretty good for me. I really thought that clicks are worth a little more than just a few cents as I have some that are for mere pennies.?

it very much depends on advertisement topic. There are very expensive topics like weight loss or mortgages. Clicks for those can be very expensive ($1-$20 depending on what percentage of ad price do you get). If your hub is about Ethical Euthanasia, then there are very few advertisers bidding on it and thus click prices are low.

Go Adsense earnigns are based on what advertisers are bidding for specific keywords.  Remember that advertisers are basically running an auction on every keyword!

Your account is showing that you have zero Hubs published currently.  Most likely, this is why you are getting no clicks.

I think that earning $3.89 in your first week of AdSense is pretty dang good. It takes many people months to earn that much at first. That's why I don't even check my Adsense earnings, as I am about a month into it. AdSense is not a get rich quick kind of deal. You're not doing anything wrong other than having unrealistic expectations.
