   ..have only visited Paris...why...because of the art and architecture and of course the french culture....
   
   ...will visit more of france one day because my family roots began there....

   I have only been to Paris and the commune of Sceaux outside of Paris. I fell in love with the city and the village. I wouldn't want to live in the city, but I could live in Sceaux, maybe.. for a few years. I loved the quietness and simplicy of life there and a short walk to the metro, 20 minutes to the heart of Paris.
   
   I plan to see more of the country. I also have roots there.
   it is beautiful, I love the flowers everywhere.

   I went to Paris, Tours and Lourdes. I like to live in Tours, lovely town almost three hours by train from Paris.

   I have not yet been dissapointed of any place in France.  Every little village has its own charm.  I like Paris for its beauty and social life.  I am completely in love with the Loire valley for its fairy tale castles.  I like the Atlantic coast beaches because its is amazingly clean and it is not crowded with tourists yet.

      I agree - I have never been disappointed by any place we have been to in France. I particularly love the small villages and just enjoying daily life.

   how could I forget Versailles? it was one of my first places to visit. lovely beyond words. 
   and some areas near the city with forests, I can't remember the name. I felt like I was in an enchanted forest.

      Me too I fell in love with castles at Versailles.  It was the first French castle I visited, I had heard so much about it that seeing it was like a dream come true!

         I also remember first flying over the countryside and it appeared like one giant patchwork quilt. I was mesmerized at the beauty of the land.
         
         when I returned home from France, I read about the castle and life at Versailles and the history of Paris. Also I read the book by Irene Nemirovsky, Suite Francaise, about her time in Paris during the German occupation. It is a book you cannot put down.

   My favorite place in France is St.Gengoux le Nationale in the southern part of Burgundy. I love the history of this village, the people are wonderfully friendly and it has easy access to the Voie Verte. There is lots of good cycling in this area on and off the Voie Verte.
