    Hello,

I'm new to HubPages, I have been signed up for a while but not an active participant on it. A few days ago I posted my first Hub, and now I have three hubs, and I'd love some pointers to guide me in the right direction, whether it be content or keywords, etc.

    Thanks in advance,
    - S. M. M.

Fantastic planet was a little bit short in words. MInumum 300 -500 is good. In some 800-1200 is even better but not usually in movie reviews.

I think you did well, I commented on one. Though I'm not sure if movies are the best niche unless you put in Amazon ads selling dvds or movie posters of the one you wrote about.

Fell free to read mine or anyone's hubs on "hubs about hubs' or advice etc.

Good start, keep it going smile! Oh and welcome!

    Welcome to HubPages! smile

    Your first hub: http://hubpages.com/hub/Fantastic-Planet-1973

    (a) Not enough content, as Schoolgirl has already said.
    (b) Keywords/tags should be between 9-15 in amount for articles written up 1500 words and up to 40 tags for over 1500+ word articles.

HubPages isn't a blogging site. You should produce quality content, as in, magazine size articles. The more content the better.

    Your second hub: http://hubpages.com/hub/Review-Portals- … ort-Swarth

You have the same problems as hub #1.

    Your third hub: http://hubpages.com/hub/Original-A-Comp … le-Prelude

    (a) Plenty of content, however you should use more text capsules, so as to break up your text into paragraphing better suited for reading.
    (b) More keywords/tags should also be added.
    (c) The top picture, should be along side your second capsule or anywhere else that isn't along side your first text capsule or at top(where it is presently).

The reason for moving the picture is to raise your article. The picture itself, could turn people away from your writing, so it is better to get them into the article as quickly as possible.

The other reason it is not to be along side the first text capsule, is because that is prime real-estate for Google Adsense ads, which will appear long side the first text capsule(providing there is no picture).

Multiple text capsules allow you to optimize ad spacing, so you have more opportunities to earn from clicks on your ads.

I hope that has helped. smile
