            Tom...lol I can't stand the taste of beer..yuk.
            I challenge anyone to put 10 beers in front of them in unmarked containers to tell me which beer is which...the only diff I could tell is the diff in taste of dark beers and light beers.
            I could never understand people liking the taste of beer.

      I knew I liked you Cag. I like Coors till I'm east, then it's either Yuengling or a microbrew. Rogue Ale is made here.

   I don't know my cans from my bottles, but I do like Tecate, Yuengling, Pacifico and, occasionally, a Corona with a heap of lime.

   Best Australian canned beer: Carlton Draught
   
   Best Foreign canned beer: Kilkenny Lager (Ireland)
   
   Best Foreign bottled beer: Newcastle Brown Ale (UK)
   
   Worst beer ever brewed: Foster's Lager (Australia)
   
   You can always spot a tourist from the UK in an Australian pub. They will be the only one drinking Foster's. No self respecting Australians do.

      strange.. I've never heard of kilkenny lager! is it brewed in australia? I know it's irish n all but perhaps its made by an irish company in australia cos I dont think we have it here!

               Nope it's not a stout - it's an ale - the ONLY stout Guinness brew is Guinness!!!!
               
               As for the best beers in a can - well all the decent beers over in the US come in bottles - you can get Boddigntons, Bass etc in cans, but they really are not as good as some of the micro-brews available such as Old Bastard etc.
               
               Newcastle brown is pretty good in a can - especially the 5 liter draft can!!!!

      My favourite is probably Staropramen czech beer, but it comes in a bottle, not a can. I agree with you Toby, fosters is the worst beer ever and I am from the UK.

    I am a beer lover, but definitely not beer in a can. Nothing better than an ice cold BOTTLE of beer. But if I had to pick one, Fosters is the best in a can, by far.

    If its summer then I love Stella Artois for the crisp, refreshing taste.  I also like Rickard's White.
    
    If it's winter, or cooler outside I don't mind a darker beer such as Kilkenny Irish Cream Ale.

    I like Aldi,s Sainte Etienne Premium Belgian Lager. Tastes as good as Stella Artois but half the price.
