The former frontman of Oasis promised that he would start a band that would be bigger then Oasis. His new band which is basically the same line up as Oasis but without Noel call themselfes Beady Eye. Beady Eye has just released there first music video and song Bright The Lights personally I love it. Liam hasnt tried to sound like Oasis the music sounds completely diffrent its great my biggest fear was that Liam would make Oasis music with this new band but he hasnt I praise that decision it would kill Oasises distinct style. The chances of Beady Eye ever being as big as Oasis are very slim but Im just happy Liam is making music he has one of the best voices in rock history.

LOL - first Oasis were going to be bigger than the Beatles, now his new band is going to be bigger than Oasis - the only thing that's getting bigger is Liams' head!

I wish him well.  I have always been more a pulp girl in the realms of 90's Britpop, but have enjoyed much of Oasis and Blur.

I saw Oasis at Glastonbury festival, but was disappointed - should have gone to a smaller gig being held by Mick Jones (The Clash, Gorillaz) at the time because, apparently, that stage rocked and was very intimate.

I seem to dump bands when they get too big and too mainstream.  I think they lose their edge and lose touch with their roots.

My favourite band is The National and have been following them for a number of years now - more Joy Division than Happy Mondays! lol wink

Ah... Joy Division, Happy Mondays... Now you are talking real music! None of the noise that passes for it these days.

I am the resident performer at a local market (acoustic guitar and vocals) and recently added Blue Monday and Nena's 99 Luftballoons (in German, of course) to my repertoire.

It is amazing how many people stop and say "Oh, I remember that!" Last week, I even had a kid stop and sing along to Blue Monday. He was about 14 years old. They are slowly coming back to real music!

Have not heard the new song yet. Being a big Oasis fan I really want to hear it and would like to see Liam do well.
