         Jason,  I have deleted this original reply.  I don't want to attach any sourness to what should be a fun filled competition for all the nominees and a great advert for writing for Hubpages.

      no problem with it, HP encourages it also. I have seen Maddie Rudd a staff encouraging promotion for hub nuggeters in other day.It would be even better if this thread was made in extreme hub make over with a link.
      
      But if it was my thread I would say, "please, vote for me if you like my hub the most" rather than just asking for vote.

         OK thanks.  I read as much as I could and it seemed to say external promotion - Facebook, etc. was good, even desirable.  Couldn't find any reference to setting up threads about your nomination though.
         
         In that case then... er.... Vote for me!
         
         No, seriously... don't.  It's about my worst effort (why did they choose THAT one?) and the others look pretty good to me.

         salehennsblog: I value your opinion.  I started a thread in the Extreme Hub Makeover forum with the following text:
         
         "I have a hub nominated for this week's Hubnugget.  Please vote.  Here is my hub.  Many thanks in advance for those who choose to vote for mine."
         
         I have also asked a question if I would get into trouble for doing this.  A couple of people think I'm being over promotional.
