UK Specific Hubs

   Do many people do non-US country specific hubs? I want to do some hubs specific to the UK where I live, such as UK business, personal finance, shopping etc but don't know whether there would be much interest in it or it would be frowned upon. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

   It is very much welcome, and it is possible to build an audience. There is a special category for travel-related hubs that you may want to join, fellow hubber Travelespresso has written this hub about that.

   I am from the UK and some of my search engine traffic comes from there. That is about all I can say to help really.
   
   My amazon account is obviously a USA account to use on here, so not much use to UK traffic.

   I try to write in American English - color instead of colour and such like, but I still get a lot of UK viewers. I've started putting Amazon.co.uk links in the hubs that are getting a lot of UK views. The first thing I noticed was a fall in my hubberscore but that's no big deal, because I am now at last making sales on my year old Amazon.co.uk account.
   I am happy to share those earnings with Hubpages, but they won't let me!
   
   Hubber RyanKett has openly pleaded with Hubpages to allow or find a way for us to use Amazon.co.uk with our hubs.
   Google.co.uk send me my biggest traffic outside of Google.com. I'm sure I'm not alone.

      I've done the same and the other day I made my first sale which netted me £0.40 in commission.  Let the good times roll

      That is great news! Everyone has to find out what works for them individually. 
      I remember reading a comment from you recently that I thought was absolute genius, and can't remember exactly what it was at this moment-- (which shows my capacity for retention of brilliance). Nevertheless,I look for Izzy comments everywhere.

   I feel that the more specific Hubs we have related to non-US issues, products, etcetera, the better.
   While I enjoy reading about places and events in the US, I would love to be able to read more Hubs about the UK, Europe, even my own Australia.
   On the 'American English' subject, each to their own, but I always have and always will write in the Queen's English. Until William takes the throne, the it will have to be the King's English.

   My hubs are a mix of general and UK specific. If you're writing travel hubs, then UK specific is fine. Not all tourists come from the UK and things that seem mundane and ordinary to us are probably rivetting to a potential visitor from abroad. One of my most successful hubs is very UK specific. Sometimes I think it's just pot luck. Write about what interests you, and see what happens!
