Gphone vs iphone, which is better?

   Please don't use forums to post promotional links, this info would be better off as a hub in itself, I'd read it
   
   Personally I prefer the G1 anyway, much more potential.

   Yeah, spam is frustrating in the forums, as a hub it would probably do quite well! Good for adsense anyway!
   
   And I agree, the G1 is the better phone. ALthough I'm keeping an eye on Acer's new phone/s at next weeks Mobile Conference in Spain. Rumour is there's an Android phone with qwerty keyboard.

      In all seriousness I love the MWC, so many cool new phones, I'm hoping for more details on the N97 as well as the Windows Mobile 6.5...wondering if you'll be able to load it on to the Xperia X1 which may very well be my next phone come April

   i think iphone is much bettre...in gphone the application are bit compicated and doesnt have wide number of choice like apple application store....

   I have the iPhone now and have a friend who has the G phone. I prefer the iPhone and he prefers the iPhone. Apple have succeeded in something that all other phones still choose to ignore....they built the phone around the MP3 player. The iPhone offers so much more, using new technologies to their advantage. I will admit it has some drawbacks, but what doesn't. It may just be a personal preference, however the iPhone's sales figures should be able to show you which one shines brighter!

   The G-Phone I love mine, but I also like the i-phone I just can't stand AT&T so this is why I don't use one.

      The iPod touch is the same price as the iPhone. The monthly costs can be seen as the costs to run the phone. you also lose out on a lot of functions with the touch such as a microphone and camera, so even though you can still get apps, you are limited by the device.

   Get an ipod touch and you'll be consistently ripped off for the rest of time because any updates that come it's way come with a $9.95/£10 update fee.
   
   Yet another way Apple squeezes the money out of you, that and the fact that every iPod I owned died or went screwy within two years of use.

   iPhone is much better. I don't think anyone is going to be able to truly compete with it for awhile. the Gphone just seems like a knock off!

      Hardly, I think that the cool extra things liek being able to scan any barcode and compare prices online is an excellent feature, one I think all cameraphones should have! 
      
      The iPhone is starting to finally rate in my book with the update that Wadey101m just mentioned,. but for a world audience used to 3.5. or even 8 megapixel cameras, video recording, MMS, unrestricted bluetooth among many other things it makes me laugh when apple can command many people's attention to make a big song and dance about how they're implementing features that they chose to not include so that they can claim that adding each little feature one by one will keep people interested.
      
      the facts are that in some ways the iPhone is less advanced than some of the phones out in early 2000's and that's no good for amny european/eastern crowds.  But yes, good job on finally impleneting stuff that your anxious userbase have been asking for for ooh, nearly two years?
      
      I don't like the looks of the G1 as much but the next one (HTC Magic?) on vodafone looks so much better and is looking really tempting if the android phones take off!

   Something to help the iPhone win hands down. Apple have announced that they are releasing the next update in the summer, which gives users those little extras they've been crying out for. yes i will admit that the addition of MMS copy and paste, deleting and forwarding messages should have been standard when you first buy the phone, after all it's suppose to be a smart phone and i have basic phones that do those things. But that's not the point, it's the fact that apple have created a phone with a operating system, one that can be constantly updated and improved, making it worthwhile and a very good investment.

    The glory of the App store! I've found that you can get an App for just about anything, including a bar code reader. It is a paid App, but at least we've been given the option. There's even an App for MMS at the moment, a stand in before the new update arrives, but the idea of the App store providing the little extras that were left out is quite comforting.
    
    They are cheeky in the sense that they hype about the little extras that should have been included in the first place like all the other phones available. I can see the iPhone remaining very strong in the smart phone industry, as they seem to listen to their customers, even though certain essentials should have been included in the first place, at least they're given us what we've been shouting for, and for free (iPhone only).
