My earnings has been dropped yesterday to 1.45$ due to lowest traffic ever since 10 days:

Do you think it's just bad luck or that something is happening ?

I can now understand why Internet Adsense Gurus are so obssessed by their rankins on Google, even I am in this state of shock when I saw that kind of fluctuation big_smile

I think you're being overly melodramatic.

BTW, in the US this is a holiday weekend for many people and a lot of them are watching football games leading up to the Superbowl or doing something other than surfing the internet.

Not half - if I became suicidal every time my Adsense income dropped by a dollar or two I wouldn't still be here.  As long as the general trend is upwards, everything's fine.  That's easy to achieve if you started out in the last year earning nothing from Adsense, which is how I keep my pecker up.

Well, if it was $1500 the week before, you probably want to re-consider your traffic generation efforts and free yourself up from google dependence. They call it diversification, you know. wink If it was $3, it is really nothing to worry about smile

What I look is more page impression than earnings when I see that low earnings is due to low traffic I'm worried whereas if it was low earnings with usual traffic I'm not.

In fact I am worried even if my earnings is good but traffic is low. For example I have a very high eCPM of XX (as Google doesn't allow me to reveal it but it's 2 numbers) but traffic is so low I find this quite fragile earnings.

One of my sites sells real goods (www.ropeysoles.com) and has been in business for nine months. Almost all traffic comes from Adwords ads, which show fairly consistently on a daily basis - but a ten-to-one variation from one day to the next is not unheard of. You need to look at a minimum of one week's traffic, and better one month's traffic, before taking notice. One other thing - when your revenue is in the thousands, the curve smoothes out - when it's in the tens, it will often go to zero on a given day.

Happily it never goes to zero smile Yesterday earnings was 3.31$ which is somehow a comeback to normal, still I find the traffic persistenly lower since a few days.

Also does Google reflect stats in real time because during the night stats often becomes much better ?
