Opinions please?
Whats worse for you sugars or fats?
My opinion - definately sugar.
It is not easy to answer. Depends on the quality of sugars and fats. We need both to live.
We should abolish the refined and simple sugars and the saturated fats. Instead are good the complex carb, such as pasta, and the unsaturated fat (found for example in fish, nuts, seeds, olive oil).
On the whole, there is a far greater addiction to sugars and fast burning carbs than there is to fats. So I agree, it would be sugar.
Most people don't realize the importance of healthy fats in their diets to help regulate a lot of things INCLUDING thermogenesis of adipose fat tissue. If you have the right balance of healthy fats in your diet, it will actually help you lose stored fat in your body. (That, along with a healthy diet and at least some moderate exercise.)
Additionally, healthy fats regulate hormone balance in the body, therefore, being essential for health and well being.
I'm addicted to fats. I don't really care for sugar much, but anything smothered in cheese...mmmm. I cant resist.
As for the which is worse...I would guess they are equally bad for you if you overindulge.
Over indulge is definitely the culprit.
Cheese, along with red meats and other foods have cholesterol and other fats that aren't healthy. Fats are more satisfying in the diet, at least in terms of satisfying for a longer period. So by adding foods with healthy fats, you get the satisfaction, but you just have to develop the taste for foods with healthy fats. And of course, the bad thing about bad fats is that over time they cause artery clogs.
Sugars burn very fast and then there is usually an energy drop associated with low blood sugar level.
My opinion fat is worth than sugar.
